Hi,

I just upgrade my computer with windows XP and now i am getting following error

"STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x804E518E, 0xFC938104, 0xFC937E04)"

Why i am getting this error? And how to reslove this issue?

Hi Justin,

The error causes if a system thread generates an exception that the error handler does not catch.

To fix this error follow this steps:

1. Make sure that you have sufficient hard disk space
2. Update the computer BIOS
3. Disable or update device drivers
4. Remove unsigned drivers
5. Remove all third-party drivers

Hello,

Same problem. I also upgraded my XP and now i am facing the following error msg.

"STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x804E518E, 0xFC938104, 0xFC937E04)"

What should i do to fix this error?

Hello all,

STOP 0x0000007E appears due to many reasons. Curt listed all the steps to fix errot stop 0x0000007E. Following are some more reason why this error appear

STOP 0x0000007E error appear when you first start the computer.
SOP 0x0000007E error appear after you run the Setup program.
Also if you You did not install any third-party drivers during the installation of Windows.

I followed all the steps as you suggested and finally STOP 0x0000007E now gone from my computer. Thanks a lot.

To update your BIOS for the computer you need to contact your Computer Manufacturer. First you have to disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowin temporarily.

Contact the computer manufacturer to obtain the latest BIOS update for the computer. You may have to temporarily disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing.
