Hi,
I am getting Error 676: The line is busy. I am using Dialup Service to access internet. It cant allow me to use internet. I never heared about this error. What is the basic reason of getting Error 676 : The Line is Busy? What do i do to fix this error?

Hi,
1. Please make sure that the computer is dialing the access number properly. Sometimes, your access number is dialed without an area code or with an area code.
2. If you are using *70 to block call waiting, try connecting without the *70. Sometimes this can cause busy signals.
3. There are many possible causes for busy signals. If too many people are trying to use the same access number at the same time, you may encounter a slow busy signal. If the busy signal is faster, it indicates a problem with your connection to the access number.

Hi,
This error 676 occur when you try to connect to your internet service provider to check you email address and you will receive following error ;
Error 676: The line is busy. Try again later.
To fix this error 676 : The line is busy check
>> If you are trying to connect to your ISP using wrong number.
>> Also if your ISP have problem or problem with telephone line
>> Also check your access number the error 676 may also occur if you
use wrong number for your modem.
>> If you include the disable call waiting code in your dialing, and your
phone line does not support call waiting
This steps you to fix error 676. go ahead and try all steps and you will see good result.

Hi,
Error 676: The line is busy. Try again later.
I also had this problem and i fixed this error. I had this problem and i fixed this problem by following this simple steps :
>> Connect to your ISP using Microsoft Internet Explorer, and then check
for new mail using Outlook Express.
>> Click OK when you receive the error message, and then click Connect
to attempt to connect again.

Hi Freenk,
I am not sure this steps will help to fix error 676. I will try it and let you know if it help me to fix error 676.

| Error 676 : The line is busy appear if you are using Outlook Express or Dialup Networking. Error 676 even appear if the line is not busy. Try to connect using IE or any other browser. And then try to connect to Outlook express. |
