If you have modem on handshake and at that time you getting error 678 disable 56K or cancel the " Cancle call if not connected" time. to do so go to Control Panel >> modem >> properties >> connection
If the problem persist feel free to contact here.
Best luck. |

Hi,
There are many ways for this error 678. Try all the steps as describe below and it will help you to remove eror 678 from your computer.
(1) If you dont have any handshake signal then most probably your entering wrong phone no.
(2) If you have any handshake signal then check connection and network settings. And if everything is perfect then it will be handshake error.
(3) Try to upgrading the firmware. Set fifo buffer to max speed upto 57600, and adding init string. Try uninstall and reinstall your modem.

If you continuosly getting error 678 the problem is only from your side not from your ISP Provider. Error 678 shows up when there is an error in configuration or problem with your TCP/IP protocol.
Just reinstall TCP/IP and associated drivers. |
