There are two types of firewall is available in market.
(1) Application Based Firewall
(2) Packet filter Firewall

Application based Fireall filter DNS, FTP, HTTP, Telnet, SSH and more.

Packet filter firewall work on Network Layer. Packet Filter firewall is very secure than Application Based Firewall.
