Email Problem - Port 25 is Blocked?

Hello,

I am using an Internet Service from one of the Internet Service Provider in USA. Problem is that they dont have POP and SMTP for setting up outlook express.
I also have account in Yahoo and i am able to check it with Outlook. I set POP and SMTP for yahoo but when i try to connect it shows me PORT 25 BLOCKED. What does it means and what to do for solve this issue?

Hi,

I also had same problem month ago. You get this Error msg PORT 25 BLOCKED because your ISP Provider may have PORT 25 Blocked for some security reasons. You need Port 110 to download mails and to send mail to PORT 25 on your ISP Provider mail server. Now, if your ISP Provider blocked this PORT 25 cant processes third party mail and forward it to the mail server.

Talk with your ISP Provider and discuss with Technical Support Guy for your problem. I think PORT 25 blocked by your Internet Service Provider.

Hello,

Most ISP Provider block Port 25 to eliminate volume of spam email. Because spam mails cause server overload and it will disturb email server also disturb email service.

Due to this reason most isp block port 25.
