Hi,
Always post which operating system you are using. Here i post Windows 98 / ME and Windows 2000 / XP.
For 98/ME:
(1) Click on My Computer and then Dial-up Networking.
(2) Right Click on the connection icon and select properties.
(3) Click on Server Types Tab.
Make sure that PPP is selected under Type of Dial-up service.
For 2000/XP:
(1) Click on the Windows Start button, select Connect To and choose
Show all connections.
(2) Right-click the connection icon.
(3) Select Properties.
(4) Select the Security tab.
(5) Under Security Options, ensure that the option labeled Allow
unsecured password is selected.
(6) Click OK.
(7) Close the Network Connections window.
( Retry the connection.
I think this will help you. |

Hello,
You got this error when you try to dial out from a windows NT Remote Access Service (RAS) using Point to Point Protocol(PPP) to a TCP/IP server.
Error 720: No PPP control protocols configured.
To fix this issue go with following link
Error 720
or simply follow this steps :
>> First of all verify that the NetBIOS interface is installed.
>> Verify that the bindings of the NetBIOS interface are enabled and properly established with the NDISWAN drivers.
a. Start Registry Editor, and locate the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\00xx
00xx is the subkey that is defined in "DriverDesc" as "WAN Miniport(IP)".
b. Click the LinKage subkey.
c. In the detail pane, you should have a "RootDevice" of "NdisWanIp".
In addition, there will be an "UpperBind" key, which needs to have a
value of Tcpip.
Bye... |

Hi,
This error 720 occured if PPP Control Protocols are not configured. Also if users computer or server's computer do not configured the PPP control protocols.
If you want to fix error 720 make sure your ISP Connection properties have PPP Protocols in server types tabl. If the problem not persist then reinstall DUN on your system. |

Hello,
If you are receiving this error then to resolve this issue first check your dialup networking connection are set correctly. If this set correctly then recreate the connection entirely. If you still have this problem then reinstalling TCP/IP.
lol. |

Hello,
This Error 720: No PPP control protocols configured also come up if you are connecting to a server that requires 128 bit encryption and your system doesn't have 128-bit encryption installed.
Check this and be sure you have 128 bit encryption. |
