Hi Kaitlyn,

This file is by default available on Windows XP system. If you are using windows XP Os then it is available in your computer but if you are using windows 2000 then you dont have this file. Just copy this file from Windows XP system and paste it in your system32 folder.

The following instructions pertain to all current and recent Symantec antivirus products, including the Symantec AntiVirus and Norton AntiVirus product lines.

W32.spybot.worm spread using KaZaA file sharing and mIRC. w32.spybot.worm also spread if your back door pages are infected with Trojan horses.

If you use windows ME or XP then follow this steps to remove w32.spybot.worm. This w32.spybot.worm removal tool working for me and i hope it will work for you also :

Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
Update the virus definitions.
Restart the computer in Safe mode or VGA mode.
Run a full system scan, and delete all files that are detected as W32.Spybot.Worm.
Delete the value that was added to the registry.
Delete any zero-byte files in the Startup folder.

If you find this useful then forward it to your collegue if they have same problem with w32.spybot.worm

Hello,

I have one more suggestion for w32.spybot.worm. w32.spybot.worm copy in to windows system folder as wuamgrd.exe or winupdate.exe. This wil allow hackers to attack on your privace and can detect data from your spybot infected system.

To protect your computer from w32.spybot.worm or from any kind of worm go ahead and download Zonealarm or AVG antivirus which scan your whole system and clean up your computer.

Also you can try http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com this patch which make your computer secure from w32.spybot.worm or any other worm. This helps if your computer not infected with w32.spybot.wrom. If your computer already infected with spybot worm then you need to follow above paragraph steps.

Good Day.

Install updates from

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

to close security holes in your OS. Otherwise these backdoor programs will catch you again.
